Description
Tellurium TL 08 - hand-operated
A model of the sun on a stable metal base. The top of the sun is detachable for easy replacement of the filament lamp.
Compared with the hand-operated TL 05, the bracket for the earth-moon system has been shortened with these advantages:
- greatly improved shadowing effects (even without darkening the room) - unit comes completely assembled (all you need to do is put on the earth and slip on the moon)
Easy operation
Once you have put on the terrestrial globe, slipped on the moon rod and plugged in the electric cable, the Tellurium is ready for use.
The earth-moon system sits on a bracket which has an extension in the shape of a handle.
The movement of the earth around the sun takes place at this grasp. A pole rod may be pulled out to illustrate the change in direction.
The position of the moon can be changed by hand for demonstration purposes.
Impressive demonstration
The unit provides easy-to-understand answers to elementary questions, even in primary education, such as: - Why do day and night alternate? - How are summer and winter distributed on earth? - Which constellation outshines the sun? - What are lunar and solar eclipses about? - What exactly is a month? - In which position is the moon invisible/partly visible/fully visible from earth?
